Description
Indulgent Apple Caramel Bombs: A Delightful Autumn Treat
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
- 2 cup chopped apples (mix of Granny Smith and Honeycrisp)
- 10 caramel candies
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoon cream
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a baking dish.
2. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the chopped apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon, and cook until the apples are soft, about 5 minutes. Set the apple filling aside.
3. Flatten each biscuit round to create a disc. Place a scoop of the apple filling and one caramel candy in the center of each disc. Pinch the edges together to seal the dough and enclose the filling.
4. Place the sealed dough balls seam-side down in the prepared baking dish. Brush the tops with the remaining melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the bombs are golden brown.
5. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and cream until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the warm Apple Caramel Bombs just before serving.
Notes
Choose a mix of tart and sweet apple varieties for balanced flavors.
