Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup cooked, chopped bacon
- 1/2 medium yellow onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon fresh garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 2 cups instant rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions
1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until no longer pink, draining excess fat.
2. Stir in diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
3. Add seasoned salt, tomato sauce, ketchup, and mustard. Stir to combine.
4. Pour in instant rice and beef broth. Mix well, bring to boil, then reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until rice is tender.
5. Stir in chopped cooked bacon and sprinkle cheddar cheese on top. Cover and let sit for 2 minutes to melt cheese.
Notes
Experiment with different meat blends for varying juiciness.
Mix up vegetables by adding bell peppers or mushrooms.
