Description
These Bacon Cheeseburger Stuffed Peppers are a fun and flavorful twist on a classic cheeseburger. Filled with a savory mix of ground beef, bacon, cheese, and zesty condiments, they are baked to perfection in sweet and crunchy bell peppers.
Ingredients
4 large bell peppers, halved and seeds removed
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tsp garlic powder
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 slices cooked bacon, chopped
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Cooking the Beef: Start by browning the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the beef is fully cooked and onions are softened, about 8–10 minutes. Drain excess grease.
2. Mixing the Filling: In a large bowl, combine cooked beef with ketchup, mustard, half the cheddar, and chopped bacon. Stir well.
3. Stuffing the Peppers: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spoon beef mixture into bell pepper halves and arrange in a baking dish.
4. Baking: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil, top with remaining cheese, and bake another 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
5. Serving: Let cool slightly, garnish with extra bacon or sour cream if desired. Serve hot as a main or appetizer.
Notes
Experiment with cheese varieties or add diced jalapeños for heat.
Pair with a fresh salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
