Description

Get ready to indulge in the ultimate comfort food mashup – Bacon-Loaded Mac and Cheese Stuffed Burgers! This delectable creation combines two classic favorites, macaroni and cheese and juicy burgers, for a flavor explosion that’s sure to satisfy your cravings.

Ingredients

  • Ground beef
  • Cooked macaroni
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Cooked, crumbled bacon
  • Cream cheese, softened
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper
  • Burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and other desired toppings

Instructions

1. Begin by cooking the macaroni according to the package instructions. Drain the cooked pasta and set it aside to cool slightly.

2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, and crumbled bacon. Mix these ingredients together until they are well incorporated.

3. Divide the beef into 8 equal portions and gently form them into evenly-sized patties, creating a small indentation in the center of 4 of the patties.

4. Carefully spoon the prepared mac and cheese mixture into the indentations of the 4 patties and top each with one of the remaining 4 plain patties, sealing the edges tightly.

5. Sprinkle the patties generously with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

6. Grill or pan-fry the burgers over medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes per side, until they reach your desired level of doneness.

7. Assemble each burger on a toasted bun and top with lettuce, tomato, or any other desired toppings.

8. Serve hot and enjoy the ooey-gooey, bacon-y goodness.

Notes

You can prepare the mac and cheese filling and form the stuffed patties ahead of time. Refrigerate them until you’re ready to cook.

Adjust the cooking time slightly if cooking directly from the fridge.
