Description
Bacon-Wrapped Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs are a savory treat featuring juicy ground beef, gooey mozzarella cheese, and crispy bacon. Perfect for parties or as a family dinner, these meatballs deliver a flavor explosion in every bite.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 or 85/15 blend)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or panko)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into cubes
- 8 slices thick-cut bacon
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Meatball Mixture
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until evenly incorporated.
Step 2: Form and Stuff the Meatballs
Take a small amount of the mixture and shape it into a ball. Press a mozzarella cube into the center and reshape the meatball to encase the cheese. Repeat until all mixture is used.
Step 3: Wrap in Bacon
Wrap each meatball with a half-slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick if needed.
Step 4: Bake the Meatballs
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the meatballs without touching. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bacon is crispy and meatballs are cooked through.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, substitute breadcrumbs with gluten-free panko or crushed gluten-free crackers. You may also use ground turkey or chicken for a leaner alternative.
