Banana Pudding is a classic Southern dessert made with layers of creamy vanilla custard, fresh banana slices, and crunchy vanilla wafers.

Instructions
1. Combine the sugar, flour, and salt in a medium saucepan.
2. Gradually pour the milk into the saucepan, whisking constantly.
3. Place the pan over medium heat and stir until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
4. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and temper them with the hot pudding mixture.
5. Pour the egg mixture back into the saucepan and cook for 2 more minutes.
6. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
7. Layer vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and pudding in a serving dish.
8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
Avoid overcooking the pudding to prevent a grainy texture.
Chill the pudding long enough to set properly.
