This irresistible recipe is perfect for game day snacks, party appetizers, or a cozy family dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lb pulled pork (cooked and shredded)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough (16 oz)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked and shredded pulled pork, BBQ sauce, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Stir everything together until the filling is well-mixed and the cheeses are evenly distributed.
3. Open the package of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate the individual biscuits.
4. Using your hands, gently flatten each biscuit into a round disc. Place a generous spoonful of the pulled pork and cheese filling into the center of the dough. Carefully fold the edges of the dough over the filling, sealing it in to form a tightly wrapped ball.
5. Arrange the assembled BBQ Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese Bombs seam-side down on a greased baking sheet. Brush the tops of the bombs with the melted butter. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the biscuit dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. Remove the BBQ Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese Bombs from the oven, garnish with fresh chopped parsley, and serve them warm with extra BBQ sauce for dipping.
Notes
Use high-quality, slow-cooked pulled pork for maximum flavor.
Don’t overstuff the biscuits – a generous spoonful of filling is just right.
Brush the tops of the bombs with melted butter before baking for a golden, crispy finish.
Keep an eye on the baking time, as ovens can vary. The bombs should be golden brown and the cheese should be melted.
Serve the BBQ Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese Bombs warm, with extra BBQ sauce for dipping and dunking.
