Ingredients
- 1 pound bok choy, cleaned and cut into smaller pieces
- 4 shiitake mushrooms, sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, finely sliced
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil, divided
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
Instructions
1. Wash the bok choy thoroughly and cut it into bite-sized pieces.
2. Slice the shiitake mushrooms and finely chop the garlic cloves.
3. Heat 1 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Add the garlic and mushrooms, and stir-fry for about 1 minute.
5. Add the prepared bok choy to the pan and continue stir-frying for another 1 to 2 minutes.
6. Drizzle in the light soy sauce and oyster sauce, tossing everything together until evenly distributed.
7. Drizzle the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil over the stir-fry before serving.
Notes
This dish pairs beautifully with steamed rice or noodles. For a heartier meal, consider adding cooked chicken, tofu, or shrimp.
