  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickle slices

Instructions

1. Marinate the chicken thighs in buttermilk and Cajun seasoning for at least 4 hours or overnight.

2. In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour, additional Cajun seasoning, baking powder, garlic powder, and paprika.

3. Heat vegetable oil in a Dutch oven or heavy-bottomed pan to 375°F.

4. Dredge marinated chicken thighs in the seasoned flour mixture.

5. Fry the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.

6. Drain on a wire rack.

7. For the aioli, whisk together mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and Parmesan cheese if using. Season with salt and black pepper.

8. Toast hamburger buns and spread garlic aioli on both sides.
