Description
Delicious and Crispy Baked Honey Garlic Chicken Wings
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 pound chicken wings
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Wings: Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
2. Make the Marinade: In a separate bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Whisk until well blended.
3. Marinate: Pour the marinade over the chicken wings, ensuring they are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
4. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
5. Arrange and Bake: Remove the wings from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Place the wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake for 30 minutes, basting with the reserved marinade after 15 minutes.
6. Crisp Finish: Switch the oven to broil and cook the wings for an additional 5–10 minutes, until they are crispy, watching closely to prevent burning.
7. Serve: Remove the wings from the oven, drizzle with any remaining glaze, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
To ensure your Honey Garlic Chicken Wings achieve the ultimate crispy texture, consider drying the wings thoroughly before seasoning and baking, using a wire rack for even crisping, basting with the marinade during baking, and broiling at the end for extra crispiness.
