Ingredients
1 pound breakfast sausage
1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
6 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 packet country gravy mix
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a skillet, brown the breakfast sausage over medium heat, draining off any excess fat.
3. Cut the biscuits into quarters and layer them in a greased 9×13 baking dish.
4. Spread the cooked sausage over the biscuits and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
5. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.
6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients in the baking dish.
7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
8. While the casserole is baking, prepare the country gravy according to the packet instructions.
9. Once the casserole is done, drizzle the warm gravy over the top and serve.
Notes
