Description

Creamy Champagne Chicken is a decadent dish bursting with flavor, combining tender chicken breasts with a rich, velvety sauce infused with the bubbly effervescence of champagne.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped shallot
  • 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup non-alcoholic champagne or sparkling white grape juice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet and sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.

3. In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic and finely chopped shallot until fragrant. If using, stir in the flour to create a roux, then whisk in the non-alcoholic champagne and heavy cream.

4. Stir in the Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and fresh thyme leaves, allowing the flavors to meld together as the sauce simmers for 3-5 minutes.

5. Place the seared chicken breasts back into the skillet, spooning the creamy champagne sauce over the top. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked through.

6. Sprinkle the Creamy Champagne Chicken with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Pair with fluffy mashed potatoes, garlic-infused rice, or a vibrant green salad. Consider adding sautéed mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
