Ingredients
- 8 ounce high-protein pasta
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 medium bell pepper, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 4 ounce cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and bell pepper and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it up as it cooks, until it’s browned and cooked through.
4. Stir in the crushed garlic, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional minute.
5. Stir in the tomato paste and tomato sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
6. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the cream cheese and sour cream until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
7. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until it’s well coated with the creamy sauce.
8. Stir in the chopped fresh basil leaves and serve immediately.
