Creamy Mushroom Swiss Burger Casserole is a comforting dish that combines ground beef, mushrooms, and creamy goodness, baked under melted Swiss cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 cup cooked egg noodles
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F.
2. Cook Beef & Veggies: In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add the diced onion, sliced mushrooms, and minced garlic, cooking until the onions are translucent and the mushrooms are tender. Drain any excess fat.
3. Season & Add Cream: Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Pour in the heavy cream and beef broth, mixing well until the ingredients are evenly combined.
4. Combine with Noodles: Fold in the cooked egg noodles and half of the Swiss cheese, making sure everything is well-coated.
5. Transfer to Casserole Dish: Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish.
6. Top with Cheese & Breadcrumbs: Sprinkle the remaining Swiss cheese on top, followed by the breadcrumbs for an extra crunchy topping.
7. Bake & Garnish: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.
