Description
Crispy Bacon Italian Sausage Loaded Cheese Bombs are a decadent snack or appetizer filled with melted cheeses, zesty Italian sausage, and crispy bacon.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 ounce bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 8 ounce cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, mozzarella, cheddar, crumbled bacon, softened cream cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well incorporated.
4. Separate the biscuit dough into individual pieces and flatten each into a small disc.
5. Place a generous spoonful of the sausage and cheese mixture in the center of each dough disc. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
6. Arrange the filled cheese bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly.
8. Remove from oven and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
These cheese bombs are best served warm. Consider serving with marinara or ranch dipping sauce for added flavor.
