Description
Crock Pot Chicken and Stuffing Dinner is a comforting dish with tender chicken breasts in a creamy sauce, topped with savory stuffing.
Ingredients
- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 box (about 6 ounce) stuffing mix
- 1 can (10.5 ounce) cream of chicken soup
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup frozen peas or mixed veggies
- Pinch of black pepper
- Pinch of garlic powder
- Pinch of thyme
Instructions
1. Spray your Crock Pot with nonstick cooking spray.
2. Layer the chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
3. In a bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, milk, chicken broth, and sour cream until smooth.
4. Pour the creamy soup mixture over the chicken.
5. Sprinkle the stuffing mix evenly over the top.
6. Add the frozen peas or mixed veggies, if using, and sprinkle with black pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.
7. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
8. Once done, fluff the stuffing with a fork and serve hot.
Notes
For a crispier stuffing topping, broil the dish for 2-3 minutes after cooking.
This dish is even better the next day as flavors meld together.
