Description
Crockpot Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta is a creamy slow-cooked dish that combines tender chicken, garlic parmesan sauce, and pasta for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- 2 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 12 ounce garlic parmesan sauce
- 8 ounce cream cheese, cut into pieces
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 10 ounce dry pasta (penne or rotini)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Spray the inside of the crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.
2. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker and season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
3. Pour the garlic parmesan sauce over the chicken, then add cream cheese pieces and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
4. Cover and cook on LOW for 5-6 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
5. Once cooked, remove the chicken and shred it using two forks, then return it to the crockpot and stir to combine.
6. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, drain, and add to the crockpot.
7. Stir everything together until well combined and serve garnished with fresh parsley and optional red pepper flakes.
Notes
For a spicier kick, consider adding diced jalapeños or a splash of hot sauce. You can also use gluten-free pasta or dairy-free alternatives for a modified version of the recipe.
