Description
This Deep Dish BBQ Cheeseburger Pie combines smoky ground beef, sharp cheddar, and a fluffy biscuit crust for a hearty, crowd-pleasing meal.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 cup BBQ sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups biscuit mix (like Bisquick)
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a deep-dish pie pan.
2. In a skillet, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned.
3. Stir in BBQ sauce, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.
4. In a bowl, mix biscuit mix, milk, and egg until smooth.
5. Spread biscuit mixture in bottom and sides of pie pan.
6. Add beef mixture over crust and sprinkle cheese on top.
7. Bake 25–30 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
8. Let cool 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For added flavor, mix bacon or jalapeños into the beef.
To make ahead, bake and refrigerate. Reheat at 350°F until warmed.
