- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for grilling
Instructions
1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
2. Reduce the balsamic vinegar in a small saucepan until it’s thick and syrupy, about 10 minutes.
3. Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper, then brush them with a light coating of olive oil.
4. Place the seasoned steaks on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side.
5. During the last minute of grilling, top each steak with slices of fresh mozzarella.
6. Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
7. Arrange the steaks on a platter and top them with halved cherry tomatoes and chopped basil leaves.
8. Drizzle the balsamic reduction over the dish and serve.
Notes
For a beverage pairing, consider a bold red wine, such as a Cabernet Sauvignon or Malbec, to complement the rich flavors of the steak.
Alternatively, a refreshing glass of iced tea or lemonade can also be a good accompaniment.
