Description
Indulge in the Flavor of Ireland: Mastering the Irish Pub Burger
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup Irish stout beer
- 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 slices Irish cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- Butter, for toasting buns
Instructions
1. Combine ground beef, Irish stout beer, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix gently until just combined. Divide mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty about 3/4-inch thick with a slight indentation in the center.
2. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes on each side, flipping only once. In the final minute of cooking, place a slice of Irish cheddar cheese on top of each patty and cover to melt.
3. Butter hamburger buns and toast on the grill or in a skillet until golden brown and crispy.
4. Assemble the burger by placing each cooked patty on the bottom half of a toasted bun, adding optional toppings like lettuce, tomato, pickles, mustard, and mayonnaise. Top with the other half of the bun.
Notes
For a party, set up a burger bar for guests to customize their Irish Pub Burgers with various toppings and sides. Pre-cook patties and keep warm in a slow cooker or warming tray.
