Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour
  • Active dry yeast
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Warm water
  • Olive oil
  • Dried oregano
  • Dried basil
  • Garlic powder
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese

Instructions

1. Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl and let sit for 5-7 minutes until frothy.

2. Add olive oil, salt, oregano, basil, garlic powder, and flour to the yeast mixture and mix until a soft dough forms.

3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about an hour until doubled in size.

5. Punch down the dough and knead in mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

6. Shape the dough into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let rise for an additional 30 minutes.

7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.

8. Allow to cool slightly, slice, and serve with pasta dishes or enjoy on its own.

Notes
