Ingredients
- 1 (16 oz) package frozen potato and cheese pierogies
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 1 (14 oz) kielbasa sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional, for added color and flavor)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and kielbasa; cook until the onions are soft and the sausage is lightly browned.
3. Place the frozen pierogies evenly in the prepared baking dish. Top with the cooked onion and kielbasa mixture.
4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the sour cream, cream cheese, milk, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika (if using) until smooth and creamy.
5. Pour the creamy sauce evenly over the pierogies and kielbasa in the baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the top of the baked Kielbasa and Pierogi Bake before serving warm.
