Description
The Loaded Beef Nacho Bake is a crowd-pleasing Tex-Mex masterpiece that combines seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, crunchy tortilla chips, and a variety of toppings for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb of ground beef
- 1 packet of taco seasoning
- 1 cup of salsa
- 1 can of black beans, drained
- 2 cups of crushed tortilla chips
- 2 cups of shredded Mexican cheese blend
- 1 cup of sour cream
- 1/2 cup of sliced black olives
- 1/4 cup of chopped green onions
Instructions
1. Start by browning the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Once the beef is cooked through, drain any excess fat and stir in the taco seasoning and salsa. Simmer the mixture for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a greased baking dish, layer half of the crushed tortilla chips, followed by half of the seasoned ground beef mixture, the black beans, and half of the shredded cheese. Repeat the layers, ending with the remaining cheese.
3. Place the assembled Loaded Beef Nacho Bake in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
4. Once the Loaded Beef Nacho Bake is out of the oven, add the optional toppings: sour cream, sliced black olives, and chopped green onions. Serve the dish immediately, allowing your guests to dive in and enjoy the tantalizing combination of flavors and textures.
Notes
To make your Loaded Beef Nacho Bake even more visually appealing, consider garnishing it with additional toppings like diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, or a drizzle of guacamole or hot sauce.
For a meatless option, replace the ground beef with a plant-based protein like sautéed mushrooms, diced bell peppers, or a combination of black beans and corn.
