Description
Longhorn Steakhouse Parmesan Chicken is a delicious dish featuring tender chicken breasts coated in a crispy Parmesan-breadcrumb crust, baked to perfection for a crunchy and juicy meal.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
2. In one bowl, beat the eggs. In another bowl, mix the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, dried herbs, salt, and pepper.
3. Dip each chicken breast into the eggs, then coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture.
4. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear each chicken breast for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
5. Transfer the seared chicken to the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
6. Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
Notes
For an extra crunchy coating, try using panko breadcrumbs instead of traditional Italian-style.
Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the breading mixture for a subtle kick of heat.
Experiment with different types of cheese, such as mozzarella or provolone, for a unique twist on the classic Parmesan.
Pounding the chicken breasts to an even thickness will help them cook more evenly and prevent dryness.
For an extra crispy crust, try broiling the chicken for the last 2-3 minutes of baking.
