Description
Maple Bacon Cheeseburger Quesadillas are a symphony of sweet, savory, and indulgent tastes that will have your taste buds dancing with joy.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and chopped
- 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 tablespoon butter or oil, for frying
- Chopped parsley, optional
Instructions
1. In a skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil and add the ground beef. Break the beef apart with a spatula and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and the maple syrup. Let the mixture simmer for 1-2 minutes until everything is well-coated and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat and stir in the crispy chopped bacon.
2. On one half of each tortilla, sprinkle a mix of the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Add a layer of the maple bacon beef mixture, then top with a little more cheese. Fold the tortilla over to create a half-moon shape.
3. In a clean skillet or griddle, melt the butter over medium heat. Place the quesadillas in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is fully melted. Let them rest for a minute, then cut into wedges. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.
Notes
These Maple Bacon Cheeseburger Quesadillas are delicious on their own, but they also pair wonderfully with a variety of dipping sauces and sides. Serve them with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream for an extra burst of flavor. A crisp side salad or a serving of crunchy tortilla chips can also complement the quesadillas perfectly, creating a complete and satisfying meal.
If you have any leftover quesadillas, they can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, simply place the quesadillas in a skillet or on a baking sheet and warm them in the oven or on the stovetop until heated through and the cheese is melted.
