- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
Instructions
1. Start by spreading the softened butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
2. On the unbuttered side of the bread, spread the marinara sauce. Layer the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, followed by the pepperoni slices. Sprinkle with the garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
3. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the assembled sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey.
4. Once cooked, sprinkle the top with fresh chopped basil, if desired. Serve warm, with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
