Description
Pork chops are a versatile and delicious protein, but they can sometimes fall flat without the right marinade. This Pork Chop Marinade is a simple yet effective way to infuse your chops with a symphony of tastes that will leave your taste buds dancing with joy.
Ingredients
- 4 pork chops (1 inch thick)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
1. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, black pepper, smoked paprika, dried thyme, and onion powder until well combined.
2. Place the pork chops in a large resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring each piece is evenly coated. Cover or seal and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to overnight.
3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the pork chops from the marinade, discarding excess liquid. Grill for 4-5 minutes per side until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
4. Alternatively, preheat your oven to 400°F. Place marinated pork chops on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
5. Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Pair with sides like roasted potatoes, grilled asparagus, or a fresh garden salad. For presentation, drizzle reserved marinade over the top or garnish with freshly chopped parsley or green onions.
