  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

2. Mix together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves in a medium bowl.

3. In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, oil or melted butter, eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.

5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

6. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy.
