  • 1 pound Italian sausage or ground beef
  • 1 package (25 ounce) frozen cheese ravioli
  • 15 ounce ricotta cheese
  • 2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. In a large skillet, brown the Italian sausage (or ground beef) and onion over medium heat until cooked through. Drain any excess fat.

3. Add the garlic and Italian seasoning to the skillet, cooking for 1 minute. Then, stir in the marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.

4. Spread 1 cup of the meat sauce in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

5. Layer half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce, then dollop half of the ricotta cheese on top. Sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.

6. Add half of the remaining sauce, then repeat the layers of ravioli, ricotta, and mozzarella.

7. Top the final layer with the remaining sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.

8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

9. Let the Ravioli Lasagna stand for 10 minutes before serving, and garnish with fresh basil.
