Step 1: Make the Sausage Gravy
Start by heating a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and crumble the sausage until browned and crisp, about 5–7 minutes. Don’t drain the fat – you’ll need it for the gravy.
Step 2: Thicken the Gravy
Sprinkle the flour into the skillet and stir well to absorb the fat. Cook for 2–3 minutes to remove the raw flour taste. Slowly whisk in the milk and reduce the heat to medium-low. Stir until the gravy has thickened, about 4–5 minutes.
Step 3: Season the Gravy
