Ingredients
- 1 pound Italian sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 3 bell peppers, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
- Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat Oven: To 400°F. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
2. Prep & Season: Place the sausage, bell peppers, and onion on the prepared sheet pan. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until well coated.
3. Roast: Spread the mixture evenly and roast for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the sausage is cooked through and the peppers and onions are tender and slightly charred.
4. Add the Cheese: Remove the pan from the oven and top everything with shredded mozzarella or provolone. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
5. Garnish & Serve: Finish with fresh basil or parsley and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan. Serve hot straight from the pan.
