Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak is a classic American dish that combines tender beef patties smothered in a rich, flavorful gravy. This hearty meal is perfect for cozy weeknight dinners or weekend gatherings with family and friends.
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 packet dry onion soup mix
- 10.5 ounce condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 8 ounce mushrooms, sliced
Instructions
1. Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, egg, and half of the dry onion soup mix in a large bowl. Mix gently until just combined and form into 4-6 patties.
2. (Optional) Brown the patties in a skillet over medium heat for extra flavor.
3. Place sliced onions and mushrooms in the bottom of the slow cooker. Arrange beef patties on top.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the condensed cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and remaining dry onion soup mix. Pour over the patties.
5. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours until patties are cooked through and sauce has thickened.
Notes
Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles. Garnish with chopped parsley or chives.
