Description
Make the ultimate Smash Burgers with Baconnaise—juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor! These mouthwatering burgers feature perfectly smashed beef patties, crispy bacon, and a rich, creamy homemade baconnaise. A restaurant-quality burger made easy at home!
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for the best flavor)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of American cheese (optional)
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 4 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
Instructions
1. Make the Baconnaise:
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, crumbled bacon, Dijon mustard, and ketchup. Mix well and set aside.
2. Preheat the Cooking Surface:
Heat a griddle or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
3. Form the Burger Patties:
Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions (about 4 ounces each). Lightly roll each portion into a loose ball without overworking the meat.
4. Cook the Burgers:
Place beef balls on the hot griddle. Using a spatula or burger press, firmly smash each ball down to about ½ inch thick. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until a crust forms.
5. Flip and Melt the Cheese:
Flip each burger and immediately top with a slice of cheese (if using). Cook for another 1-2 minutes until cheese melts and burgers reach desired doneness.
6. Toast the Buns:
While the burgers cook, toast hamburger buns on the griddle until golden brown.
7. Assemble the Burgers:
Spread a generous layer of baconnaise on the bottom bun. Place a smash burger on top, then add desired toppings like lettuce, tomato, or pickles. Finish with the top bun.
8. Serve and Enjoy:
Enjoy your Smash Burgers with Baconnaise hot off the griddle for the best flavor and texture!
Notes

- Don’t press the burgers after flipping—this keeps them juicy!
