Description
Delight Your Sweetheart with Festive Valentine’s Day Oreo Pops. These bite-sized confections combine the classic Oreo cookie with a creamy center and a vibrant candy coating, making them the perfect homemade gift or party favor for your loved ones.
Ingredients
- 1 pack Oreo cookies (approximately 14 cookies)
- 8 ounce cream cheese or melting chocolate, softened
- 12 ounce candy melts (pink, red, white)
- 12 lollipop sticks
- Parchment paper for setting the pops
Instructions
1. Start by taking the Oreo cookies and crushing them into fine crumbs. You can use a food processor, blender, or simply place the cookies in a resealable bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
2. In a bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with the softened cream cheese (or melting chocolate, if you prefer). Mix the ingredients until the mixture becomes thick and moldable.
3. Roll the Oreo-cream cheese mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill the balls in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up.
4. While the Oreo balls are chilling, melt the candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in short increments and stirring until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
5. Dip the tip of each lollipop stick into the melted candy, then insert the stick halfway into each chilled Oreo ball.
6. Carefully dip each Oreo pop into the melted candy coating, allowing any excess to drip off. Before the coating hardens, add your desired sprinkles or decorations to create a festive and personalized look.
7. Place the decorated Oreo pops back onto the parchment paper and let them set at room temperature for about 15 minutes. For a faster setting time, you can also chill the pops in the refrigerator.
Notes
To keep your Oreo pops fresh, store them in an airtight container at room temperature. They can be enjoyed for up to 5 days.
