Description

Whiskey Peach BBQ Meatballs are a flavor-packed dish that will have your taste buds dancing with delight. The perfect balance of sweet, savory, and smoky makes these meatballs a true crowd-pleaser, whether served as an appetizer or a main course.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cup peach preserves
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup whiskey or bourbon
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix the ingredients together gently, being careful not to overwork the mixture. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and arrange them on a greased baking sheet.

2. Place the meatballs in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and lightly browned. Remove the meatballs from the oven and set them aside.

3. In a large saucepan or slow cooker, whisk together the peach preserves, BBQ sauce, chili sauce, whiskey, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and garlic powder. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the ingredients are well combined and the sauce is smooth.

4. Gently add the cooked meatballs to the Whiskey Peach BBQ Sauce and stir to coat them evenly. If using a slow cooker, cook the meatballs and sauce on low for 2 to 3 hours or on high for 1 to 2 hours. Alternatively, if you’re using a stovetop, simmer the meatballs in the sauce for 15 to 20 minutes.

Notes

These meatballs can be served as appetizers or main dishes. For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey or chicken for beef. They pair well with coleslaw, cornbread, or grilled vegetables.
