Description
Air Fryer Zucchini Fries Parmesan are the perfect blend of health and flavor, making them an ideal snack or appetizer for everyone, regardless of dietary preferences. This recipe takes simple zucchini and elevates it with a crunchy, cheesy coating that transforms it into savory fries.
Ingredients
- 1 large zucchini
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup seasoned panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Black pepper to taste
- High heat cooking oil spray
Instructions
1. 1. Start by trimming off the ends of the zucchini. Slice it lengthwise into fries about 1/2 inch thick.
2. 2. Create a streamlined breading station with three shallow dishes. In the first dish, whisk together the flour, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. In the second dish, beat the eggs until they’re smooth. Finally, in the third dish, mix the Parmesan cheese with the panko breadcrumbs.
3. 3. Coat each zucchini stick first in flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally roll in the Parmesan panko mixture.
4. 4. Carefully place the breaded zucchini fries into the air fryer basket in a single layer.
5. 5. Lightly spray them with high heat cooking oil.
6. 6. Set the air fryer to 400°F and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through.
Notes
Choose firm, fresh zucchinis with smooth skin for best results.
Slice evenly for uniform cooking and consider salting beforehand to draw out moisture.
