Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound bowtie pasta
- 6 tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for garnish
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. In a medium bowl, toss the chicken cubes with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper. Ensure the chicken is evenly coated.
2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
3. While the pasta is cooking, melt 2 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
4. In the same skillet, melt the remaining 4 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
5. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce begins to thicken slightly.
6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Add the cooked pasta and chicken to the skillet with the sauce. Toss everything together until it’s evenly coated.
8. Serve the Creamy Cajun Chicken Bowtie Pasta immediately, garnished with extra grated Parmesan cheese and chopped green onions.
