Description

Crispy Bacon Cheddar Stuffed Meatloaf is a delightful twist on a classic comfort food that packs a flavorful punch. This meaty creation combines the robustness of ground beef with the rich taste of cheddar cheese and the irresistible crunch of bacon, making it an easy choice for busy families looking to whip up a quick and satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices crispy bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Gently mix until everything is just combined.

3. In a separate bowl, mix the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled crispy bacon together.

4. On a baking sheet, shape half of the meat mixture into a rectangle, keeping it about an inch thick. Make a small indent in the center and spread the cheesy bacon mixture evenly on top. Place the remaining meat mixture on top, sealing the edges well.

5. Brush barbecue sauce over the top and drizzle with Worcestershire sauce.

6. Transfer the meatloaf to your preheated oven and let it bake for about 1 hour, checking that the internal temperature reaches 160°F.

7. Let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

Avoid overmixing the ingredients to retain moisture. Use a meat thermometer to check doneness. Ensure you don’t add too many wet ingredients to avoid a mushy texture.
