Description

Crispy High-Protein Bacon Cheeseburger Egg Roll Bites are delicious, easy-to-make snacks packed with protein, perfect for busy families looking for quick meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (lean)
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup diced pickles
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 10 egg roll wrappers
  • Cooking oil (for frying)

Instructions

1. 1. Start by heating your skillet over medium heat and add the chopped bacon. Cook until crispy, stirring occasionally. Once done, remove it from the skillet and let it drain on a plate lined with paper towels to get rid of excess grease.

2. 2. In the same skillet, without cleaning it, toss in the lean ground beef alongside the diced onion. Add the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook it all together, breaking up the beef with a spatula until browned and fully cooked; drain any excess fat from the skillet.

3. 3. In a large bowl, combine the crispy bacon, beef mixture, shredded cheddar cheese, and diced pickles. Stir until everything is well-mixed and evenly coated.

4. 4. Lay one egg roll wrapper on a clean, flat surface with a corner pointed toward you. Spoon 2-3 tablespoon of the filling into the center of the wrapper. To fold, bring the bottom corner up over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly. Make sure to seal the edges by wetting them with a little water.

5. 5. In a deep skillet or pot, pour in oil and heat it over medium heat. You’ll want enough oil to submerge the egg rolls halfway, which ensures they fry evenly.

6. 6. Once the oil is hot (you can test it by dropping a small piece of wrapper in; it should bubble), carefully add the egg rolls in batches. Fry for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remember not to overcrowd the pan!

7. 7. After frying, use a slotted spoon to remove the egg rolls from the oil and place them on a platter lined with paper towels to absorb any excess grease. Serve these delightful Crispy High-Protein Bacon Cheeseburger Egg Roll Bites warm with your favorite dipping sauces!

Notes

To achieve perfectly crispy egg rolls, maintain the oil temperature at around 350°F for optimal frying. Golden brown on all sides indicates they’re done. You can assemble the egg rolls a day prior and fry them right before serving.
