Easy Crunchy Bacon Mac and Cheese Bites are a fun and delicious bite-sized snack that combines gooey cheese, crispy bacon, and crunchy crumbs. Perfect for parties or weeknight treats.
Ingredients
- 2 cup elbow macaroni
- 4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Cooking spray
Instructions
1. In a large pot, bring 4 cup of water to a rolling boil. Add 1 teaspoon of salt followed by 2 cup of elbow macaroni. Cook until al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
2. In the same pot, melt 2 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Stir in 1 cup of milk, then gradually add 2 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir until smooth.
3. Add the drained macaroni and crumbled bacon to the cheese sauce, mixing until well combined.
4. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a mini muffin tin with cooking spray. Fill each muffin cup with the mac and cheese mixture.
5. In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of breadcrumbs with 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle over each muffin cup.
6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
7. Let cool for a few minutes before removing from the tin. Serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for best results.
