Homemade Grilled Shrimp Burger is a delicious seafood alternative to traditional burgers, combining fresh shrimp with flavorful ingredients for a delightful summer meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoon chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 burger buns
Instructions
1. Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel and chop into small pieces.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped shrimp with breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, chopped green onions, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well-combined.
3. Form the mixture into four equal-sized patties and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
4. Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium heat and brush lightly with olive oil.
5. Grill the shrimp patties for approximately 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
6. Assemble the burgers by toasting the buns, adding lettuce, tomato slices, red onion, and the grilled shrimp patty. Finish with mayonnaise or sauce of choice.
Notes
Fresh shrimp provides the best flavor.
Consider adding cayenne or minced herbs for variation.
Ensure to chill the patties before grilling to maintain their shape.
