Ingredients
- 4 cup all-purpose flour
 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
 - 2 tablespoon instant yeast
 - 1 teaspoon salt
 - 1 cup warm water
 - 1/2 cup honey
 - 1 large egg
 - 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
 - 1/4 cup shortening
 - 2 cup vegetable or peanut oil for frying
 - 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar for topping
 - 1 cup powdered sugar for glaze
 - 1/4 cup honey for glaze
 - 2 tablespoon melted butter for glaze
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for glaze
 - a pinch of salt for glaze

Instructions
1. Combine warm water, honey, and instant yeast in a large bowl. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
2. Stir in egg, vanilla, melted shortening, granulated sugar, and salt. Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms.
3. Knead dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
4. Roll dough into a rectangle on a floured surface. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture. Roll tightly and cut into individual buns.
5. Heat oil to 350°F in a deep skillet. Fry buns in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
6. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, honey, melted butter, vanilla, and salt. Add warm water until desired consistency is reached. Drizzle or dip warm buns in glaze.
