Description

If you’re on the hunt for a quick and delicious weeknight dinner, look no further than this scrumptious Honey Grilled Shrimp recipe. It strikes the perfect balance between ease and flavor, making it an ideal choice for busy families or anyone who loves a tasty seafood plate. Picture yourself grilling succulent shrimp brushed with a sweet and sticky honey glaze, bursting with flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 pound jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on
  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • 2 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon coarse cracked black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 12 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions

1. Soak the wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.

2. Combine the honey and apple cider vinegar in a small saucepan and simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reduces slightly and becomes glossy—about 5–10 minutes. Stir in half of the cracked black pepper and keep warm on low heat.

3. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Thread 4–5 shrimp onto each soaked skewer.

4. Brush the shrimp with avocado oil, ensuring they are well-coated, and season with kosher salt. Preheat your grill to high heat.

5. Grill the shrimp for about 2–3 minutes until they start turning pink and develop grill marks. Flip the skewers over and brush them with the warm honey glaze. Grill for an additional 2 minutes, basting once more near the end, until fully cooked through and coated in glaze. Remove from the grill and sprinkle with remaining cracked black pepper and freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

This dish pairs wonderfully with fluffy rice or a vibrant salad. Consider adding grilled vegetables like bell peppers or asparagus for a fantastic addition. Garnish with fresh herbs or a squeeze of lemon for extra brightness.
