Description
Hot Honey Bacon Chicken Protein Wonton cup are delicious, fun, and easy to make, perfect for busy families. Tender chicken, crispy bacon, and sweet yet spicy hot honey are nestled in crunchy wonton wrappers.
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup hot honey
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 24 wonton wrappers
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
2. In a skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Cook the diced chicken until it’s no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
3. Mix in the crumbled bacon and hot honey until fully combined.
4. Lightly spray a muffin tin with cooking spray. Press the wonton wrappers into the muffin cup to create little cup.
5. Spoon the chicken and bacon mixture into each wonton cup and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
6. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the wontons are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
7. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve.
Notes
For added spice, incorporate diced jalapeños or increase the hot honey.
You can substitute chicken with shredded rotisserie chicken or use a mix of regular honey and hot sauce for the hot honey.
