Ingredients
- 4 pork chops, about 1 inch thick
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
2. In a small bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, black pepper, and brown sugar (if using).
3. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels, then rub both sides with the olive oil. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the pork chops, ensuring they’re well coated.
4. Place the seasoned pork chops in a baking dish or on a rimmed baking sheet, making sure they’re in a single layer.
5. Bake the pork chops uncovered for about 15 to 20 minutes, or about 7 minutes per 1/2 inch of thickness, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
6. Remove the pork chops from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Choose bone-in pork chops for more tenderness and juiciness. Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking. Experiment with different seasonings for unique flavors.
