Description
Mangonada Popsicles are a frozen delight that brings together the vibrant flavors of Mexico’s beloved street snack. These popsicles are a fusion of sweet mangoes, tangy lime juice, and a spicy kick from Tajín seasoning, perfect for hot summer days and festive gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp sugar (optional)
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 2 tbsp chamoy
- 1 tbsp Tajín seasoning
Instructions
- Blend the mango mixture: In a blender, combine the peeled and chopped mangoes, water, lime juice, and sugar (if using) until smooth and creamy.
- Prepare the popsicle molds: Drizzle a small amount of chamoy inside each popsicle mold, then sprinkle a pinch of Tajín seasoning.
- Pour and freeze: Carefully pour the mango puree into the prepared popsicle molds, making sure to tap the molds lightly to release any air bubbles. Insert popsicle sticks and freeze for at least 6 hours, or until completely solid.
- Unmold and serve: Once frozen, gently remove the popsicles from the molds. Serve sprinkled with additional Tajín seasoning for a delightful, spicy-sweet contrast.
Notes
For best results, use ripe, juicy mangoes and adjust the sweetener and spice levels to your taste preferences. You can customize the flavors by adding other fruits or adjusting the amount of lime juice and chamoy.
