  • Author: MastertheKitchen
  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Description

A delicious and indulgent dish that marries sweet maple syrup, savory bacon, and hearty pasta for a unique brunch experience.

Ingredients

Scale

8 ounces mini shell pasta

6 strips turkey bacon (or regular bacon)

2 cups pancake mix (or homemade pancake batter)

1 cup milk

2 large eggs

1/2 cup pure maple syrup

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Pinch of salt

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the mini shell pasta according to the package instructions, until just tender. Drain the pasta and set it aside.

2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the pancake mix, milk, eggs, maple syrup, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until the batter is smooth and well-combined.

3. In a separate bowl, toss the cooked pasta, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. Gently fold this mixture into the prepared pancake batter until everything is evenly distributed.

4. Grease a baking dish with butter and pour the Maple Bacon Pancake Pasta Brunch Bake mixture into it. Smooth the top and bake in a preheated 375°F (190°C) oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.

5. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve warm, drizzled with additional maple syrup if desired.

Notes

For a lighter option, use turkey bacon instead of regular bacon.

Feel free to add seasonal ingredients like diced apples or fresh berries for a delightful flavor boost.
