Description
Pepperoni Cheese Crisps are a low-carb snack combining pepperoni and cheese for a crispy treat.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 12 slices pepperoni
- 1/4 cup sugar-free tomato sauce
Instructions
1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
2. Add about 1 tablespoon of shredded cheese in flat piles with a little room between them, creating 4-6 piles at a time, depending on the size of your skillet.
3. Cook the cheese piles for about 1 minute, or until they start to bubble.
4. Place a slice of pepperoni on top of each pile of cheese and cook for another minute or so, until the cheese begins to brown and get crispy on the edges.
5. Carefully flip each crisp, pepperoni side down, and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
6. Transfer the Pepperoni Cheese Crisps to a plate, pepperoni side up, and serve with the sugar-free tomato sauce for dipping.
7. Repeat the process until you’ve cooked all the Pepperoni Cheese Crisps.
Notes
For variations, try different cheeses or cured meats. Experiment with spices for added flavor.
