Description

Pork Stir-Fry is an incredible way to enjoy a healthy, flavorful meal in no time. Packed with tender pork and vibrant vegetables, this dish is not only quick to prepare but also bursts with flavor. The beauty of Pork Stir-Fry lies in its versatility, making it a great option for busy weeknights. It can be whipped up in under 30 minutes, allowing you to nourish your family without spending hours in the kitchen.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pork tenderloin or boneless pork chops, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 1 to 2 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup snap peas or carrots
  • 2 to 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced or grated
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup broth or water
  • 1 to 2 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

1. Toss the sliced pork with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. This will help tenderize the meat while thickening the sauce later on.

2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Stir-fry the pork in batches until browned. Make sure not to overcrowd the pan, as you want to achieve a nice sear. Once browned, remove from the pan and set aside.

3. Add the remaining oil to the pan. Stir-fry the broccoli, bell pepper, onion, and snap peas or carrots until they are crisp-tender. This should take about 3 to 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and ginger and cook for an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute, just until fragrant.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, broth or water, honey or brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and another tablespoon of cornstarch. This mixture will enhance the flavors of your Pork Stir-Fry.

5. Return the cooked pork to the pan with the vegetables and pour in the sauce. Stir-fry for an additional 1 to 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat everything beautifully.

Notes

To ensure your Pork Stir-Fry turns out perfect every time, consider these helpful tips:

– Opt for pork tenderloin or boneless pork chops as they are lean and tender, making them ideal for stir-frying.

– For extra flavor and tenderness, marinate the pork for at least 15-30 minutes before cooking.

– Be mindful not to overcook your vegetables. They should be crisp-tender for the best texture.

– If your sauce is too thick, simply add a splash of water or broth to loosen it up.
