Description

Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles: A Quick and Flavorful Weeknight Delight

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 8 ounce rice noodles or egg noodles
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

1. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes to create the sticky sauce.

2. Toss the bite-sized chicken pieces in cornstarch until evenly coated.

3. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the cornstarch-coated chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through.

4. Pour the sticky sauce over the cooked chicken and let it simmer for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.

5. While the chicken is simmering, cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and toss with a bit of oil to prevent sticking.

6. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the chicken and sauce. Toss everything together until the noodles are evenly coated in the sticky sauce.

7. Top with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles are a fantastic option for meal prepping. Cook chicken and noodles separately, then reheat and toss together with sauce when ready to serve. Leftovers will keep in the fridge for up to 4 days.
